Deaf news: Fulham football club appoint deaf Vice Chairman

Fulham Football Club have appointed Karim Fayed, son of Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed, to the position of Vice Chairman.

Karim, who is profoundly deaf, is also currently a Director of the club and has previously been involved with Fulham Deaf Football Club.

According to this press release from the club, Alistair Mackintosh, Chief Executive said:

“I am delighted that the Chairman has appointed Karim as Vice Chairman of the football Club. He has been actively involved in all aspects of the Club over recent months, both with the football team and with the constantly growing off-field activity. This reward is an appropriate recognition of his additional contribution and support.”
