A hearing dog went beyond the call of duty last weekend when, dressed in a waistcoat and satin tie, it carried its owner’s wedding rings to the altar.
The Norwich Evening News reported on the special role the canine played in the wedding of BSL tutor Simon Moore and Communication Support worker Vicky Royall.
The paper quoted Mr Moore as saying: “I wanted Foggy here mainly because without him I wouldn’t have met Vicky,” said Mr Moore. “I gave him the most important job I could think of, apart from the best man. He probably didn’t have a clue what was going on, but he has done a fantastic job.
“Before I had Foggy, I would stay at home and lock myself in my room where I was happy. Thanks to Foggy, I got my independence, and it was because of him Vicky bumped into me.”

I’m a big fan of Question Time (BBC1) and note over the years this topical programme has to my knowledge never intoduced any aspects concerning deaf education and the underfunding of deaf schools by local council’s which culminates in those schools closing down.
Michael Cove the goverments education minister knows full well every child bar none is fully entitled
to a full education yet deaf children their parent’s and the supporting deaf organisation’s NDCS & the BDA are not invited on the Q/T panel when education concerns are featured which is a massive
insensisitve oversight and needs to be addressed ASAP by the BBC.
