Thumbs Up: Hilarious Tumblr site uses GIFS to show what deaf life is like

Posted on August 20, 2012 by

A Tumblr site called MyLifeisDeaf has used GIFS to give a hilarious impression of the frustrations of deaf life. Inspired by WhatShouldWeCallMe, the user who set up the account says they are “100% deaf” and uses cochlear implants to hear.

The site aims to give an idea of the user’s daily life, including trying to repeat the name of the person they just met, what it’s like when someone speaks super quietly, and even what happens when the fire alarm goes off…

(Warning: for readers of a senstive disposition, the odd profanity may offend.)
