THESE horrific injuries were inflicted on a deaf 52-year-old man who was punched and kicked by three men.

The shocking image of 52-year-old Michael Boyle has been released by Nottinghamshire Police after he was attacked in Worksop.

He suffered a fractured eye socket and jaw and swelling and bruising to his face.

Police said Mr Boyle was walking along Bridge Place on Sunday, December 16, when he was set upon by three men from behind.

The incident happened near the mini-roundabout at the junction of Gateford Road and Sandy Lane.

Mr Boyle was punched in the face and after falling to the floor was kicked by the men who fled the scene.

A police spokeswoman said Mr Boyle’s hearing aid was knocked out during the attack, leaving him even more vulnerable and disorientated.

Anyone with any information about the attackers should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 747 of December 16.
