Deaf News: Woman tattoos ear to show which ear she is deaf in

A photograph of a woman’s tattoo, showing which ear she is deaf in, has gone viral.

Extract from The Mirror:

One woman, who posted a picture of hers on Imgur, has used her tattoo to not only tell the world a little bit about herself, but to also make people aware she is deaf in her left ear.

User rangoose took the site to show the discreet design behind her ear of a speaker with an ‘x’ next to it.

It’s a sweet and creative way of navigating what could be an awkward encounter, and is also helpful to anyone approaching her.

The girl in question accompanied the picture with the caption:

“Since I’m deaf in one ear I thought this was a friendly way to tell the world to not talk to me from the left.”
