Deaf News: Craig Crowley from Action Deafness gives response to Brexit

Posted on June 29, 2016 by

A statement has been given by Action Deafness’s CEO Craig Crowley on the result of the EU Referendum.

He said:

As CEO of Action Deafness obviously I am concerned that the UK has voted to Leave the European Union.

We have been presenting our case for Remain.

We are concerned about the support, accessibility and equality for people who are Deaf, deafened, deafblind and Hard of Hearing.

We must rally upon ourselves as well as that of other like-minded organisations to unite so as to maximise strength that will characterise our position within the third sector and society during the uncertainty and instability that will follow.

Now’s the time to organise and gain all the positive support we can, to try to protect and preserve our service delivery to Deaf and hard of hearing people, and our staff, in this time of change.

Craig Crowley
Chief Executive
