You’ll be pleased to know that this is not an article about the EU Referendum. I’m far too simple to write about such important things and for a brief while, I thought I was being asked to choose between remain or bread-sticks…

So, it’s probably best to leave that topic to someone else and I’ll just talk about some harmless fluffy nonsense instead, like I usually do.

So let’s do this. OK, last month I was really busy with work, which means I’ve had to travel through London a lot and at one point I went through St Pancras Intl (where the Eurostar is) and the atmosphere was awkward because of….

Woah, nearly started writing about The EU Ref for a second there…OK. Let’s regroup. Where was I? Work! Ah yes, I’ve been pretty lucky with the amount of work I’ve had coming in, INCREDIBLY lucky when you think that loads of people’s careers are up in the air because of the….

Damn it!

OK, It’s not a problem. I can avoid the EU thing. I can do this. Let’s change subject.

So, last week, when I wasn’t working, I had one of my short films screened as part of a selection at the Genesis Cinema, which was part of the East End Film Festival. It was a very cool evening and I met this very cool deaf actor from Romania and….

Oh….Romania…that’s part of…OK, well never mind. Erm…quick! Think of something else…

Ah cats. The internet’s safe zone. A warm and fuzzy part of cyber space where anyone can take refuge amongst…wait…refuge?

Well, crap.

I tried folks, but it looks like there is no escaping the political turmoil that this country is in, so I’ll just say this one thing.

I have no idea whether the decision to leave the EU will result in failure or triumph and I have no idea what sacrifices will be made along the way but I do know this; you can’t “not do politics”. It will affect your day to day life, whether you like it or not and if you don’t like it….well, that’s what these are for.

Now, that was far too serious for my liking, I’m going to take a break and remind myself of how England got on in the football…
