This month’s episode of See Hear, the BBC2 show for Deaf and hard of hearing people, is now online, and it has a particular focus behind the scenes of the summer Deaflympics.

Info below, you can watch it on iPlayer now by clicking here.

The British team returned with a haul of nine medals, improving on their showing in Bulgaria four years ago. But was it all smooth sailing behind the scenes?

With reports of poor accommodation and organisation at the athletes’ villages, lack of mainstream press coverage and concerns over whether the correct drug-testing procedures were followed, we speak to representatives of UK Deaf Sport, DeaflympicsGB and the International Committee for Deaf Sports (ICSD).

And there is a round-up of news stories affecting the deaf community at home and abroad with Maab and Lynn in the studio, including news on the NHS Accessible Information Standard, a new signing videogame character and an in-depth behind-the-scenes report from an upcoming Casualty episode.
