Deaf News: Deaf blind man’s carer dies in tragic accident

A tragic accident involving a deaf-blind man’s carer has been reported by Lincolnshire Live.

The paper reports:

Mr Bennett, 65, was taking Jeremy Parks, who he cares for, to dog obedience class when he missed the turn off in to Eastville Village Hall. As he reversed his car to turn around on the C627 road Mr Bennett hit an electricity pole. He jumped out of his car to see what had happened and slid down the bank.

His passenger, Mr Parks, who is registered blind remained in the car unaware of what was happening.

Mr Bennett, from Hubberts Bridge, near Boston, was rushed to Pilgrim Hospital and placed in intensive care but sadly died at 3.18am on November 29.
