Best of Deaffest: Best of the rest

Posted on May 25, 2012 by

During the week running up to Deaffest 2012, the UK’s Deaf film and TV festival which takes place this weekend in Wolverhampton, we’ve been showing you some of the festival’s greatest hits from previous years, which can be seen online. We’ve had The End, Chasing Cotton Clouds, Coming Out and Stiletto. Today, we give you the best of the rest…

Don’t forget that during the festival, which kicks off TONIGHT, The Limping Chicken’s editor Charlie Swinbourne will be posting a Deaffest first – a live, film-by-film blog as the festival takes place. So if you can’t make it to Wolverhampton, watch this space tonight and tomorrow! If you want to contact him during the festival, just email thelimpingchicken@gmail.com!

In no particular order, here are some more fantastic Deaf films that have graced Deaffest’s screen (warning, some may be suitable only for those aged 18 or over)…

The Limping Chicken is supported by Deaf media company Remark!, training and consultancy Deafworks, provider of sign language services Deaf Umbrella, the National Deaf Children’s Society’s Look, Smile Chat campaign, and the National Theatre’s captioned plays.
