For the first time, Limping Chicken’s highlighting a video that has no deaf involvement, or subject matter, at all. Which is a bit cheeky of us, considering our remit as the UK’s independent deaf news and views site and all.
The reason? Well, the film’s funny. And even better, it’s subtitled. Kudos to the filmmakers (who tweeted it to me) for making it accessible so that we can make involuntary laughing and giggling noises just as much as our hearing counterparts.
Or maybe that should have read, ‘kuds to the prod team for adding subs so we can get the gigs just like you hearies.’ (Watch the vid and it’ll all make sense)
[if the vid below doesn’t come up with subtitles, click here to watch it with subtitles on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ihDEuNBjIc]

Hilarious! I can see spin-offs developing in the Deaf world …. how about clips of abbreviated interpretations for a start?!
