Deaf director David Ellington has made this short documentary for the BSL Zone about the closure of his local Deaf club in Bristol.
In the documentary, several members of the club talk about their experiences and memories of going there, and what the club means to them.
It’s a film that captures a growing trend, as more and more Deaf clubs have closed in the last few years. Let’s hope the club can find new premises soon.

Good to have this film made and hope all the people working in organisations that support Deaf people watch this. My deceased Dad enjoyed the Skittles and Billards games and I am wondering what happens to his gold name plate? Have to ask my Mum!
I hope the Deaf people will have a new venue by the end of the year!
