Our supporter SignVideo has agreed to work with Vodafone, one of the world’s leading mobile communications providers, to offer deaf people a new way to contact the company.
BSL users can now click on the SignVideo BSL Live link from their computer, tablet or smartphone. Within minutes, they will be connected to one of the SignVideo interpreters through a video link and have their call relayed in BSL.
The BSL Live link is just one click away from the Vodafone main page, where you can click at the bottom of the page on Accessibility: Restricted hearing.
Here’s the direct link: www.vodafone.co.uk/accessibility-services/restricted-hearing/

That is a real start!
Only quibble is ‘restricted hearing’…another negative term. :-/
See this link – we need positive / neutral wording to describe deafness.

I think that’s something you really need to talk to Vodafone about! Thankfully you can do that in BSL now, if you wish. Thanks Charlie
