Deaf News: Degree course for Deaf actors and performers launched in Scotland

This just in – the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has launched a degree for Deaf actors and performers.

The press release says:

We are now accepting applications for BA Performance in British Sign Language and English.

This undergraduate degree is designed for deaf or hard of hearing performers who want to pursue professional drama training and a career in the industry.

This is the only degree of its kind in the UK and is a landmark moment, both for RCS and for the culture of deaf theatre in this country.
