Ace Mahbaz, who is a very talented all-round Deaf performer, has released a brilliant clip of stand up comedy, called ‘Cat Doesn’t Meow,’ in sign language with subtitles, which has gone viral, attracting nearly 180,000 views to date.
Mahbaz is perhaps best known in this country for co-creating, co-writing and co-starring (with Brian Duffy) in the BSL Zone comedy series Small World. His clip discusses lipreading, sign language, and cats.

Brilliant! You know this guy could be key to getting us cool! I,d love to see him on one of the prime time television shows along side someone like Michael Mackintyre… he would steal the show!

Apparently filmed for a German (Deaf) audience, given many German words seen on his lips and his use of a number of DGS (German Sign Language) signs.
Indeed, well done, well constructed!
An ASL proverb says “Lipreading requires mindreading!”
