According to Kristy Adams, at least…
A Conservative party candidate has reportedly claimed she healed a deaf man with her bare hands by channelling the power of prayer.
Kristy Adams, who is standing to be MP for Hove and Portslade, said she healed the man by placing her hands over his ears and saying: “Be healed in Jesus’ name.”
When she removed her hands from his ears, he could miraculously hear without hearing aids, the former councillor reportedly told the King’s Arms Church in Bedford in 2010.

…Groan….personally, such instances relating to one’s faith are private.
Totally inappropriate, whatever religion the candidate has, for campaigning purposes.
Though the Conservatives would have been heartened to have her on board, in order to slash the Welfare & ATW bill for d/Deaf people……..!!!!!
Wonder what her constituency’s Deaf electors would do……..

The guy’s probably dead. This was in 2009/2010 so he’s probably since been passed as ‘fit for work’ by ATOS and subsequently collapsed and died.

Don’t you wish we could cure audism and ignorance that easily? We could lay our bare hands on the temples of the afflicted, say, “Be educated, in the name of justice!” and ka-boom! no more devastating disability.
Imagine what a revival meeting THAT would make.

I would like to believe her but why a deaf man was in the newspaper to speak for himself as a proof…as it would have help to slash the Welfare & Access to Work bill for deaf people.

Maybe the guy’s not picking up the phone, on account of being still deaf…
I reckon she released an air pocket, or something. He’d probably conceded, “yes, that’s a bit better” only to be drowned out by YOU’RE CURED!
