Watch: 6-year old Deaf actress Maisie Sly preparing for the Oscars (via BBC)

Ahead of the Oscars ceremony on Saturday night, the hopes of the British Deaf community are with 6-year old Maisie Sly and the team behind The Silent Child, which is nominated for an Oscar for best short film.

The BBC has just released this Facebook clip of Maisie with writer/co-star Rachel Shenton in Los Angeles preparing for the ceremony. Take a look (and click here if it doesn’t show up).
