For the past two years we have been building a new smartphone app (iOS and Android) allowing people to connect with 999 in a non-verbal way. Such as through BSL.
Our app is highly visual – it is designed to guide a user through the process of making an alert to Police, Ambulance, Fire Service or Coastguard if assistance is required during an Emergency.
Just before Christmas we were given full approval by BT (who operate 999) as all our operational tests where a success.
We are approaching a very exciting stage for TapSOS and would like to ask for your help!
TapSOS will soon be launching, but before we do, we would like any Deaf or hard of hearing to take part in final app testing.
If you are interested, please let us know by contacting us either by;
– sending us a tweet – messaging our TapSOS fb page.
– or email info@tapsos.com.
All we need is your name and your email address so we can send you the link to download the app.
Once you have the link (which we will send to you), we invite you to take a look around the app, and create a test alert (not live).
We would then appreciate any comments/ thoughts/ feedback you may have. These can be made within the app.
We are inviting 100 people only, so please do let us know soon if you would like to be part – beginning in February.
Many thanks,
TapSOS team

Hello,
Hitting the ’email us’ link above leads to ‘page not found’.
