Paula Garfield and Rose Ayling-Ellis awarded MBEs in Kings Birthday Honours list

Definitely Theatre’s Artistic Director Paula Garfield and actor Rose Ayling-Ellis have been awarded MBEs in the Kings Birthday List.

Garfield is the co-founder of Deafinitely Theatre and as well as being a director is also formerly an actor. In a video released on Deafinitely’s Facebook page (see below) she said “I feel immensely privileged to receive this honour.” Her award was for services ‘to Drama and to the Deaf Community.’

Ayling-Ellis is an actor who is most well-known for winning Strictly Come Dancing, and is now set to appear in several high-profile series on UK television. Her award was for ‘voluntary services to the Deaf Community.’
