Founders of Luxury Hearing Aid Jewellery, Auzi, share what they’ve been up to since their last blog! (BSL)

Since our last piece on The Limping Chicken, so much has evolved at Auzi, and all of it has been shaped by the deaf community and the hearing aid wearers who supported us from day one.

When we launched, our focus was entirely on luxury, handcrafted covers for hearing aids: bold, jewellery-like pieces made from precious metals and gemstones.

That remains the heart of our brand today. These covers continue to be some of our most loved designs, and we’ve now shipped them to customers all around the world.

Over the past year, we’ve expanded our offering so that more people can experience that same sense of pride and self-expression. What started as one luxury hearing aid product line has grown into a broader collection for different needs, different devices, and different tastes.

A Year of Meeting the Community in Real Life

One of the biggest shifts this year has been moving from online to real life.

We’ve now done multiple photoshoots with deaf models of all ages – from adults to kids – and these shoots have become some of the most meaningful experiences in our journey.

They often turn into community moments: people try on pieces, talk about their hearing journeys, laugh, connect, and see themselves represented in a way many have never experienced before.

In our most recent shoot, we worked with Bobbie and Poppy, a 9-year-old girl who modelled her own custom pieces. Watching Poppy’s confidence burst through as she saw herself in the mirror reminded us exactly why we created Auzi. Moments like that guide every new design we create.

Expanding Into Tube Jewellery – A New Accessible Line (Without Losing the Luxury Feel)

Over this past year, people have loved the idea of luxury hearing aid jewellery but not everyone is ready for a full bespoke piece. So we created HEARLOOM, our new precious-metal tube jewellery line designed specifically for BTE hearing aids with tubing and moulds.

This hasn’t replaced our luxury covers, it’s simply an expansion, shaped directly by community feedback. HEARLOOM pieces are delicate, lightweight, and designed for everyday wear. They use the same quality materials: sterling silver, gold-plated silver, and CZ gemstones.

The community response has been overwhelming, and we’re so grateful for it.

Cochlear Implant Jewellery: A New Chapter, And a Growing Global Waiting List

Alongside HEARLOOM, we’ve been developing the next evolution of our luxury range: cochlear implant jewellery.

This is still a newer area for us, and the engineering is more complex because each CI model fits differently, but demand has grown rapidly over the past months.

With a 5th December release date, there are a range of designs compatible with major CI brands including MED-EL, Cochlear, and Advanced Bionics, and we already have a global waiting list of people eager to access these pieces. You can explore the early look at our CI designs here.

Our goal is simple: to offer choice, creativity, and a way for individuals to express themselves in a way that feels personal and empowering.

A recent highlight for us was seeing Tasha Ghouri, someone who has inspired so many by proudly wearing her cochlear implant, model one of our custom gold-plated CI covers at the Pride of Britain Awards in late October. Her message about visibility, pride, and representation deeply resonated with our mission.

A Truly Global Community (and Growing Fast)

Just one year in, Auzi has grown far beyond what we imagined. We’ve shipped to:

Auzi founders, Dec and Daniela

UK, USA, Canada, Netherlands, France, Italy, Romania, New Zealand, Kuwait and more every month. The message we hear most often is “I finally feel seen.”

People who once hid their hearing aids are now wearing them proudly, sometimes receiving compliments for the first time. Hearing aids are becoming expressive and personal, not clinical or hidden. We don’t take these moments for granted.

What’s Coming Next?

We’re constantly evolving and we’re already working on:

*A CI jewellery release coming soon (the waiting list is active!)

*More community shoots and in person gatherings.

*A London deaf community event early next year.

*New luxury pieces and bespoke collaborations!

Our mission remains the same: to transform hearing devices from something people feel they need to hide into something they feel proud to display.

Thank you for following our journey, and for helping shape what Auzi continues becoming.

Warmly,

Daniela & Dec

Co-founders, Auzi
